Your Namibia Journey

The adventure begins with a hike and first night’s camping in the Okonjima Reserve, before the safari stage in Etosha National Park including the exploration of the little-developed west of the park awaits you. In the Etendeka Mountains you go on a two-day hike (equipment provided) and finally you put your 4×4 skills to the test in the Kaokoveld and on the Skeleton Coast. You will drive some of the most remote regions of the country and experience exclusive moments in indescribable nature, camping and in fancy lodges. The desert elephants and sunsets in Damaraland will stay with you for a long time, while the road takes you over the Spitzkoppe into the Namib Desert and to a 4×4 Sossusvlei tour including a hike to the Dead Vlei. In the Kalahari, you will end your journey in the dunes.

Your Itinerary

Your journey begins at Windhoek airport, where you are greeted by Hannu, your Africa First Guide, and meet your fellow travellers. Your 4x4 rental car with Roof Top Tent and camping equipment is already waiting for you and you will receive a detailed introduction to your car and equipment. Afterwards Hannu leads the group through the capital Windhoek and further north towards the Waterbergs. Shortly before the plateau we reach the Okonjima Reserve, home of the AfriCat Foundation, after a relaxed drive. At the local campsite you set up camp for the night with your fellow travellers, of course under the guidance of Hannu. You have arrived in Africa, the adventure has begun.

Accommodation: Okonjima Campsite
Meals: Lunch along the way, dinner around the campfire.
