Many of the activities that are often only available to travellers without children are designed with families in mind – from wine tasting to safaris, you can expect an incredible variety of natural spectacles and enjoyment of life under the African sun.

Your South African Journey

Your journey begins in Cape Town airport, but first takes you to the country’s best wine region nearby, where you can start the trip with your children in a relaxed way with a picnic on a wine estate (and a wine tasting for you). The following stages are all within short driving distance and offer you a variety of outdoor activities with children, relaxation for parents (incl. massages) and of course unforgettable safaris (also for your children).

Finally, along the south coast, you will visit the southernmost point of Africa and take a whale watching boat tour in charming Hermanus to Cape Town on Table Mountain. Here, I have also designed the programme for you with your children in mind and integrated the Two Ocean Aquarium as well as the penguin colony and a sailing trip to the sunset (on request also in a pirate ship). Of course, Table Mountain and the Cape of Good Hope are also included.

DAY 1 | WELCOME TO SOUTH AFRICA

our journey begins at Cape Town Airport, where our representative will welcome you and assist you with all the important things, including picking up your rental car. If you are travelling with your children, we have of course booked child seats.
As the airport is situated between Cape Town and the Winelands, it is only a short drive (approx. 45 minutes) to your first hotel in the heart of the Winelands between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Here you will be met at Boschendal Wine Farm, which is ideal for families with young children and where you can arrive relaxed.
