Uganda with gorillas by Sinclair's Africa

In the morning you go on a safari game drive with your ranger in Murchison Falls National Park and look out for the animals of the African wilderness. After returning to your lodge, relax over lunch before embarking on a boat cruise at the foot of the Murchison Falls.

The journey continues to Fort Portal and an exploration of the region on the slopes of the Rwenzori Mountains. Here you also have the option to visit the Ruwenzori Mountain Sculpture Foundation. Finally, the drive continues to Kibale Forest National Park with many exciting animal sightings along the way.

oday we head for the highlight, the Chimpanzee Tracking (Walking Safari) in Kibale Forest National Park. The walk in Kibale takes 2 to 3 hours. With over 95% chance of seeing chimpanzees, Kibale Forest is the best destination in all of East Africa to see chimpanzees. Other primates such as red colobus monkeys, mangabeys and others can also be spotted.
Today you can also expect a hike through the Bigodi Wetlands. The wetland is rich in biodiversity and beautiful scenery and a birdwatcher's paradise with 138 species. Outside the park, in the Magombe Swamp, live 8 primate species. The Walk is an initiative of the villagers of Bigodi. The proceeds go to community projects.

The journey continues today via Kasese to Queen Elizabeth National Park, with its unique mountainous crater landscape. The national park is located in western Uganda and stretches from Lake George in the northeast to Lake Edward in the southwest, connected by the Kazinga Channel. It has amazing biodiversity with open savannahs, dense papyrus swamps, crater lakes, forests and an interesting gorge. Here today we go on a safari game drive to the Kazinga Channel in the centre of the Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Today is dedicated to safaris. First you go on a morning safari game drive in the Kasenyi sector of the Queen Elizabeth National Park, before relaxing back at the lodge for lunch. Finally, it's off on an afternoon boat safari on the Kazinga Channel near Mweya, which connects Lakes Edward and George.

DAY 8 | TREE-CLIMBING LIONS & BWINDI FOREST
The journey now continues to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest via Ishasha, the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Look out for the National Park's famous tree-climbing lions. Bwindi is home to around 350 wild mountain gorillas (about half of all the surviving ones). Overlooking the rainforest, Haven Lodge with its impressive Buhoma Community Project awaits you today.

Now the biggest highlight of your trip is coming up, the gorilla tracking. You will go on a 3-6 hour hike, depending on where gorillas are located, and spend 1 hour with the gorillas, which include the silverback gorilla (distance minimum 7 metres). The experience is beyond words.

On today's drive from Bwindi to Kampala you will stop at Lake Mburo National Park. The backdrop of mountains and valleys is also known as the Kabale "Gorilla Highlands" (2,347m high). After arrival at the lodge and dinner, a special night safari in the national park awaits you later in the evening.
